About the company

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce maintains an excellent relationship with all four Peninsula cities and surrounding communities. It is recognized as the action agency that accomplishes many goals in the community. This reputation was earned through years of concerned involvement on the part of the area’s business, professional and community leadership.

A Board of Directors made up of area volunteers, sets the Chamber’s policy. The Chamber staff works with volunteer committees to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Chamber. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber has 10 active committees.


“Palos Verdes “ is the Spanish name for “green sticks”. Sometimes you will see it described at “green sticks”. It is a 26.3 square mile area located in the southwest corner of Los Angeles County. The peninsula is 23 miles south of downtown Los Angeles and within its borders are the four cities of Palos Verdes Estates (incorporated in 1939); Rolling Hills (incorporated in 1957); Rolling Hills Estates (incorporated in 1957); and Rancho Palos Verdes (incorporated in 1973). There are NO HOTELS, MOTELS, and HOSPITALS OR MAJOR INDUSTRIES on the Peninsula
